Here at Booths, we’re passionate about sourcing and supplying the freshest, highest quality local produce from Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire and Yorkshire. This, along with exceptional customer service, is what keeps our customers coming back for more.
Our passion for local, fresh and innovative tastes has inspired us to create the Artisan restaurant experience. Our Artisan restaurants in Lytham and Kendal source, prepare and champion select products from our instore range, serving them in fresh, comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Focused on enabling smooth operations and so sustainable profitability, you’ll lead, develop and co-ordinate front of house and kitchen teams, ensuring they’re comfortable in delivering the best possible dining experience, while also ensuring policies and procedures are maintained at all times.
This will include managing recruitment and induction, ensuring staff are knowledgeable and confident in their roles, and that they enjoy ongoing support and training wherever necessary. Key to your success will be your ability to minimise wastage and enable effective rotas while ensuring consistency of quality, safeguarding health and safety issues and maintaining your own professional knowledge and development.
Leading by example, you’ll be the role model for service and standards that your teams aspire to. With management level experience gained in a similar role or environment, you’ll have good knowledge of food retailing and distribution, statutory regulations and good food product knowledge. If you also have an NVQ Level 2 qualification, plus basic Heath & Safety and Health & Hygiene certificates, or equivalent, we’ll complement these with our own training and inhouse qualifications. Just as important are excellent people and team leading skills, the ability to delegate effectively, and the strong communication skills essential to liaising effectively at all levels.
You’ll find much more information about Artisan on this site: from sample menus to signature produce and a taste of our Art Gallery at Lytham, all of which will give you a flavour of these satisfying and rewarding roles.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter by post or email, quoting your current salary and reference Artisan/WBS.
